Walking in a Winter Foresty Wonderland

Image
The RSVP Project got a job! So we got hired to do our first ever project for one of our very first followers (and very best friends).  My best friend Haley called me up a few weeks ago and said "I'm going all out for Christmas this year and I would love for you to decorate my dining room table." One of the things I love about working on something for a friend is that I know their taste (because I've been to their house) and can instantly get a feel for the look I am aiming to provide them.  After an afternoon of hitting up all of our favorite home decor spots, Erin and I came up with this Winter Foresty Wonderland Tablescape and we could not be more in love! Her table is oval shaped with a slight gray wash and her chairs are off white with a tufted back.  The woodsy dining room Christmas tree and elegant crystal chandeliers brought it a bit of rustic but glamorous look to the room. The first purchases we made were the mercury glass Chris...

Twelve Days for 1990-2000 Christmas Songs

Image
Twelve Days of 1990-2000s Christmas Songs Hello friends! GOOD news - we can finally start talking about Christmas now that Thanksgiving is over (phew!). I can hardly control the excitement and I certainly know our loyal RSVP followers are right there with me...don't deny it. During the holiday season, one thing that can fuel us all is a little Christmas music.  It's cheerful and so easy to listen to. Plus, its a right of passage for artists and if your favorite musician hasn't' dropped an album...then, it's time to upgrade to someone who has (Rosie O'Donnell, William Hung, Afroman, etc.) 😊  My goal for this post was to create a "Christmas Cocktail" playlist which may or may not happen in the future. While I was browsing all of the super trendy songs, I found myself going back to the ole faithfuls and I couldn't help but compile a list of the most memorable songs! I was born in the 1980s (ish) so the '90s-'00s feels like home. Can...

The Centerpiece Rules to Live By

Image
The Centerpiece Rules to Live By Halloween, Thanksgiving, fall break, Friendsgiving, fall festivals, and everything in between.... Autumn is one of the seasons that can be overwhelming with the obligation to host the guests who you are....well....obligated to host. You know exactly what I mean. The bossy friend, the nosy family member, the high maintenance sister-in-law. We've all been there and it can make cleaning and cooking a nightmare.  One of the goals of The RSVP project is to make hosting an accessible option for you and your family. In our opinion, the best moment to spoil your guests is in between total chaos.  Be the home where you friends and family can sit, relax, and take a breather. B e the excuse so people cancel their plans for a comfortable dinner at your home!  This is the perfect time of the year to host your favorite people before the holidays overwhelm everyone's schedule. Spoil your loved ones and do it in a way that is economical and...

Bring Home the Orchard

Image
FUN ON THE FARM Photo by  Nathan Hulsey  on  Unsplash Apple orchards are just the freaking cutest. Everything about them warms my soul and makes me smile. It had me thinking that this would be a fun trip to take with a group of friends. Who said these places are only for families and couples? ROAD TRIP! I can think of a million reasons why the gas money to the middle of nowhere will be worth it, i.e. Insta photo ops, hayrides, pumpkin patches, warm cider, etc., but most importantly...apples, apples and more apples!  But let's get real, what are you going to do with 20lbs of apples? Probably throw a handful away. Instead bring the after party back to your place and actually put those apples to good use. Below are some trendy apple cocktails and treats that will definitely impress your friends and taste buds! photo by mantitlement.com        APPLE INFUSED COCKTAILS     APPLE BOURBON SLUSH Yes, everyone knows...
